Use cheats in Switch emulators

Quick answer
Enable built-in cheats in Ryubing, Ryujinx, Eden, or Citron, then load a game's cheat file from the emulator's manager.
Switch emulators ship with a built-in cheat engine, so you turn cheats on in the emulator and load the codes for the game you are playing — the emulator does not bundle cheat codes, you supply them. The same built-in manager appears in Ryubing, Ryujinx, Eden, and Citron.
Enable and load cheats
-
Turn on cheat supportOpen the emulator's settings and enable cheats (in Ryubing and Ryujinx this is under Settings or the general options). The manager stays hidden until this is on, which is why many players think cheats are missing. The cheat option is enabled and the manager entry appears in the game's right-click menu.
-
Open the cheat manager for the gameRight-click the game in your library and choose Cheat Manager, or open Title Properties and switch to the Cheats tab. This is where the emulator lists any cheat file it finds for that title. The cheat manager opens with a list for the selected game, even if empty.
-
Add the game's cheat fileCheats are plain text files of codes that you provide for the specific game. Place the file where the emulator stores cheats (the cheats folder under the emulator's user data), named for the game, then refresh the manager. The emulator reads the codes; it does not fetch them from anywhere. The manager now lists the cheats from your file.
-
Toggle the cheats you wantEnable individual cheats from the list and save. Only turn on codes meant for your game version — a code built for a different region or update can freeze the game. You can change them any time without restarting. The chosen cheats show as enabled and take effect in game.
Use cheats safely
Cheats write to game memory and can corrupt a save or soft-lock progression, especially infinite-item or teleport codes. Keep a backup of your save before enabling them, and disable all cheats if a game starts crashing. The cheat engine needs the same game you already run; it does not provide the game, keys, or firmware. For setup help, see ryubing-install.
